This vision is carried forward by Dr. Pratik M. Shah (MBBS, MD, FIAPM) – a respected educator and interventional pain expert with over 15 years of clinical experience. He has mentored numerous doctors through fellowships and advanced workshops. Known for his clear instruction, patient-first approach, and practical guidance, his training empowers young professionals to practise pain medicine safely, ethically, and confidently.

My journey as Pain Management Physician

  • Completed MBBS in 1999 from the prestigious B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad

  • Earned MD in Anaesthesiology in 2022 from the same institution

  • Gained over 13 years of experience in freelance and group anaesthesia practice across reputed hospitals in Ahmedabad, including Rajasthan Hospital and Krishna Hospital

  • Pursued Fellowship in Pain Management at Daradia Pain Clinic, Kolkata, under the mentorship of Dr. Gautam Das, in 2015

  • Founded Impulse Pain Clinic in Memnagar, Ahmedabad, the same year

  • Received advanced training in Endoscopic Spine Procedures at St. Anna Hospital, Germany, and with Dr. Ovidiu Palea in Romania in 2016

  • Completed a 3-week Endoscopic Spine Surgery Fellowship under Dr. Girish Datar at I.I.T.T.S., Miraj, Maharashtra

  • Attended a two-week observership (Preceptorship Programme) at Cleveland Clinic Pain Management Center, USA, in 2018

  • Served as Scientific Chairman at the ISSPCON 2020 National Pain Medicine Conference held in Ahmedabad

  • Currently working as a Consultant Pain Management Physician at Impulse Pain Clinic, Ahmedabad

  • Published two articles in the Journal of Recent Advances – Pain, focused on regenerative therapies and chronic pain management

  • Frequently invited as guest faculty at various national and international pain management conferences

  • Impulse Pain Clinic is affiliated with Daradia Pain Clinic as part of its online clinical fellowship programme
